Mr. William Coleman to speak at Education Equality Day - May 16th
The Education Equality Project is pleased to announce that Mr. William T. Coleman Jr., will be speaking at the Education Equality Day in Washington, D.C. on May 16th. Mr. Coleman coauthored the brief for Brown v. Board of Education and also served as the first African-American Secretary of Transportation and first African-American Supreme Court Clerk.
We owe thanks to Mr. Coleman for contributing such a great deal to the creation and eventually passage of legislation that made real the principle of education equality law. Mr. Coleman was the main architect of the legal strategy leading to Brown v. Board of Education and the desegregation of schools and other public facilities throughout the United States.
